Christopher Alloways-Ramsey
Christopher received the majority of his early classical training from Mira Popovich and Sonia Arova.  He continued his studies as a full merit scholarship student at The School of American Ballet, The Universal Ballet Academy and San Francisco Ballet. As a professional, Chris danced for Boston Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet Met, Ballet West and Alabama Ballet.  His classical repertoire includes Seigfried in Swan Lake, Prince Florimund in Sleeping Beauty, and Sugar Plum Cavalier in Nutcracker.  His Balanchine repertory includes “Rubies,” “Western Symphony,” and “Symphony in C.” Chris is a 2003 graduate cum laude of Harvard University.

Sue Casey-Murray
Sue received her BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  Upon graduation, she worked as a guest teacher and choreographer for the University Dancers. Sue was an assistant to choreographer Michelle Assaf in New York City and danced in two music videos.  Sue has been teaching throughout New England for more twenty years.  She joined the faculty of The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in 1985 and has also worked extensively with the Jeannette Neill Dancers.  Sue was on the faculty of the first Boston Summer Dance Festival in 1996.  Sue began teaching in Boston Youth Moves in 1996.

J. Allen Collier
Allen graduated with honors with a BFA in psychology and then pursued his musical career at Berklee College of Music.  After playing the nightclub circuit as a pianist/singer, both nationally and internationally, he began to devote more time and training to dance.  In 1985 he took over management of Boston’s Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, where he was also on the faculty.  In 1989 he became a full partner in the company.  Allen is the founder and creative director of ACE Entertainment, an entertainment production company specializing in casting dancers and choreographers for live industrial presentations and for film and video.  He has choreographed several national presentations for Spalding, the Sara Lee Corporation, Champion Sportswear and has written and produced three live corporate cabaret shows for EMC Corporation.  Allen has also served in production capacity for several shows for the Norwegian and Cunard Cruse lines. In 1991, he was named one of the "Hot Choreographers in Film and Video" by Point of View Magazine.  Allen is the founder and Artistic Director of the Boston Summer Dance Festival.

Tommy Coye
Tommy has been a faculty member of The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio for more than seventeen years, teaching jazz, musical theatre dance and video dance in the studio’s various adult and teen programs.  He has taught musical theatre dance at both Emerson College and the Boston Conservatory and video dance classes at Sports Club/LA Boston as well as master classes and workshops throughout New England.

As a performer and choreographer, Mr. Coye’s work has been seen both nationally and internationally:  touring with recording stars, opening for headliners, in product presentations for major sportswear companies, commercials, as well as entertaining at global corporate events, on cruise ships, and in regional theatres, supper clubs, casinos and arenas throughout the world.

Tommy has also been involved with Boston Youth Moves since its inception in 1990, having been actively involved in virtually every aspect of the BYM organization.  Additionally, he has served as an adjunct faculty member in the BYM Program as a choreographer and styles instructor.

Nikki Sell
Nicole Sell grew up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, where she started dancing at the local studio at the age of three.  As a teen, she spent her summers studying dance at the Ballet/Aspen program in Colorado and at the Dupree Studios in Los Angeles.  She completed her high school years at the Idyllwild School of Music and Performing Arts in California and graduated Valedictorian of her class.  She then studied at The Boston Conservatory, earning a BFA in Dance and graduating Summa Cum Laude and Salutatorian of her class.  Ms. Sell has performed regionally and internationally with Prometheus Dance, Ace Entertainment, Impulse, and Boston Dance Company, and has also danced a leading role in an industrial video for Spaulding sports equipment and a TV commercial for W. B. Mason, for which she was also the choreographer.  She is currently on faculty at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Youth Moves, Walnut Hill Scholl and The Boston Conservatory.

Devon Fitchett
Devon was a student in Boston Youth Moves from its first year in1996 until her graduation.  She the attended Bates College and graduated in 2003 with a BA in American Cultural Studies and a secondary concentration in Dance. Devon has performed works by Ronald K. Brown, Danny Buraczeski, Michael Foley, Betsy Haug, Katiti King, and Gabe Masson. She performed with Prometheus Dance in Boston and was a member of Ben Munisteri Dance Project in New York City from 2003-2005. During her two years with Munisteri, she performed at the Altogether Different concert at the Joyce Theater in New York City, Tanzmesse International Dance Festival in Düsseldorf, Germany, and at the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival.  In 2006, Devon traveled to Quito, Ecuador where she taught master classes and performed at the Central University of Ecuador and Frente de Danza in La Casa de Cultura.  She is currently director of dance at Dana Hall School in Wellesley.

Susan Michaud
Susie received her B.S. in Education from Fitchburg State College. Her advanced dance studies were in New York City. Ms. Michaud’s teaching experience includes The Boston Conservatory, Northern Ballet Theatre Dance Center, Groton School, Harvard/ Radcliffe dance program, Mount Wachusett Community College, and Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in Boston. She has choreographed and performed for Community theater, dinner theater, and Northern Ballet Theatre. She has directed Theater-Dance workshops for children and adults. Her tap competition choreography has won both regional and national recognition. Susie is the owner and director of Toe Tappers, in Ayer, MA.

Jeannette Neill
Executive Director, Boston Youth Moves
Jeannette is an enduring and moving force in the Boston dance and cultural community.  She is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio that has served as a supportive and encouraging training ground for aspiring dancers since 1979.  She is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Boston Youth Moves, as well as one of the Artistic Directors of the Boston Summer Dance Festival 2001-2007.  Ms. Neill has an extensive teaching background.  In addition to her work at Boston Youth Moves and her own studio, she has taught at the Boston Conservatory Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts, as well as Harvard and Boston Universities.  She is an internationally respected educator, dancer and choreographer whose work has taken her around the globe, to the Milan Opera Company in Paterno, Italy; Danschuset in Goteborg, Sweden; the A/C Studio in Tokyo, Japan; the Jazz Tap Festival in Monterrey, Mexico; as well as Broadway Dance Center in new York City.

Additionally, Jeannette has choreographer commercially for companies that include ABC-TV, Digital, IBM, PUMA, SKYR, Bose, Hasbro, Citicorp and The Jeannette Neill Dancers.  She has also performed as a guest artist for various stage productions including New Directions in Tap, starring Gregory Hines and JAZZ DANCEThe Danny Buraczeski Dance Company and was featured in Pal Joey under the direction of Thommie Walsh at the Huntington Theatre.

Ms. Neill was also the first person in the performing arts ever to be recognized by the Big Sister Association of Greater Boston when, in 2000, they honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award and most recently Boston Dance Alliance presented her with their 2008 Dance Champion Award. 

Jimmy Viera
Artistic Director, Boston Youth Moves
Jim has been a leading teacher and choreographer in the Boston area for more than twenty years.  In addition to The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, he has served on the faculties of The Boston Summer Dance Festival, Jacob’s Pillow, Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts and The Harvard Summer Dance Festival.  Jim is also on the faculty of the Boston Conservatory, and has served as Associate Artistic Director of the Wheaton College Dance Program.  As a choreographer for ACE Entertainment, he has choreographed opening numbers for Rita Moreno, Gregory Hines, Grace Jones and Harry Connick, Jr.  Jim has also choreographed industrial films for Digital Equipment, and live industrial presentations for Intellution, Champion Sportswear, Pioneer Investments, PUMA, Jordan’s Furniture and EMC Corporation.

It was Jim’s vision that was the catalyst for the formation of Boston Youth Moves in 1990.
