Our 2008 Swellegance gala was a sold out success!!
On March 8th the Board of Directors of Boston Youth Moves hosted its eighth annual Swellegance gala to benefit Boston Youth Moves. Held at the Sheraton Boston Hotel, this year's gala honored the legendary Chita Rivera and featured the dynamic choreography of Jim Viera, Jeannette Neill, Susie Michaud and Guest Choreographer, Danny Buraczeski. A sumptuous buffet, lively music by Soul City, performances by the dancers of Boston Youth Moves and their alumnus, a fabulous silent auction, emcee duties by J C Monahan, and Special Guest Presenter, award-winning singer/actress/dancer, Bebe Neuwirth, were among the evening's highlights. Guests were also treated to glowing tributes from Ann Reinking, David Hyde Pierce and Rosie O'Donnell.
Swellegance 2008 was the highest attended and most visible gala to date and we wish to thank everyone - our sponsors, auction and event donors, event volunteers and all those who attended - who made Swellegance 2008 a memorable evening and a fabulous success.
